Voyager Of The Seas: The cruise ship that revolutionized the concept of cruising
In 1999 came the cruise ship that created history. Voyager of the seas, when it started, was the largest cruise ship in the world. It also came into limelight for being the first ship of its kind with features that was never thought of or seen before like the concert arena with a TV studio and an ice skating ring, in-line skating, rock climbing, horizontal atrium along with inside cabins which had promenade view. Today the rock-climbing wall is present in every Royal Caribbean ship while the other features like the ice skating ring and the rest can be seen in the other four ships of this cruise line. But the addition of these features in other ships could not undermine the charm of the Voyager of the seas as it the first ship ever to give this experience.
Passengers: Unlike the Voyage of Discovery, Voyage of Antiquity, and other such ships that only attracted passengers of a certain group and status, The Royal Caribbean has a more general appeal for people of all ages. However, the only criterion is that the passengers must be ready for many activities as this is a activity-driven cruise ship. Voyager of the seas also attracts a lot of families too.
The dress code: During the day you can be casually dressed but in the evening, passengers need to wear either formal, smart casual, or casual attire. So on a casual night, a man can wear slacks and sports shirts while the woman can wear pants or sundresses. For a smart casual look, jackets and tie are a must for a man while the woman should wear pantsuits or dresses, and for those formal nights men can choose between suits and ties or Tuxedos while women need to wear cocktail dresses.
